Computer Science Department in cooperation with the Human Rights Division organizes a lecture on the rights of persons with disabilities

Under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, the Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with the Human Rights Division, organized a lecture on the rights of persons with disabilities on Wednesday 9/4/2025 at the hall of the late Dr. Imad Kazim. The lecture was delivered by (Ms. Hanin Rashid Majeed)

The workshop dealt with the rights guaranteed by Iraqi law for the disabled, as the law called for. To care for people with disabilities, eliminate discrimination, create job opportunities for them, respect disability and consider it as part of human diversity, and guarantee them the right to education and rehabilitation to integrate into society.

It also guarantees their safety in health insurance, reviews in medical centers, providing assistance to people with disabilities from their employed parents, and they have the right to perform surgeries outside Iraq.
