
Computer Science Department Celebrates International Women’s Day

Under the auspices of the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the department, organized a celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Thursday, 2025/3/13 at the hall of the late Dr. Imad Kazem, in the presence of female teachers, affiliates and female students. At the beginning, the head of the department congratulated the attendees on the occasion and expressed his pride and appreciation for what women do in society in general and in the department in particular. The celebration included a workshop on International Women’s Day between the past and the present, delivered by the Director of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the department, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhair Muhammad Zaki. At the end of the celebration, the Head of the Department presented certificates of appreciation to the outstanding female candidates of the department on Women’s Day, namely, for female teachers Sara Jassim, female employees, Director Faten Fakher Jawaid, female graduate students, PhD student Tania Abdul Sattar, and female primary school students, Lana Abdul Razzaq Shakir.
